Mobile Optometric Practice For Sale   Posted: 9/18/2017
Vision Mission Group, S.C. has been serving the southwest Chicago and suburbs for over nine years. We service the homebound & shut-ins, senior independent & assisted living, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, memory and veterans’ home clinics. We service monthly 12-20 senior communities and over 15 others on-call. Local and national home health care agencies refer homebound patients as well.

This gratifying work is quite similar to being on a medical vision mission trip every clinic day. Vision care is being delivered routinely to a local, underserved population. The seniors and their caretakers are grateful, overwhelmingly kind and are a blessing to us each day. This practice can be added to an existing optometric, OD/MD practice or as an independent, full-time business/mission. This model can be easily expanded into serving different industries as well. This virtual practice is adaptable for serving the manufacturing industry and corporations regardless of size. Because we are an independent, self-employed corporation, we are free to share the Good News of Jesus Christ freely as directed by the Holy Spirit.

Full or Part-Time Optometrist Position in Syracuse, NY   Posted: 8/08/2017
Malara Eyecare and Eyewear Gallery, located in the Syracuse, NY area towns of Liverpool and Fayetteville, is seeking an optometrist to fulfill its mission of providing “Professional Eyecare with a Personal Touch.”

The owner of the practice, Dr. Richard Malara, and his associate, Dr. Matthew Durkin, are both Christian optometrists who seek to glorify God in their work and in their personal lives. Many of their staff are Christian, but Christian faith is not a requirement for employment, and is not pushed on staff or patients.

The doctors at Malara Eyecare practice comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. They fit standard and specialty contact lenses including soft and RGP multifocals, keratoconic lenses, Corneal Refractive Therapy lenses, as well as an occasional scleral lens. We do not currently provide low vision or vision therapy/orthoptics services.

The practice provides medical care to include anterior segment issues such as abrasions, foreign bodies, inflammations and infections, and treatment and medical management of chronic conditions like glaucoma.

We also participate in some comanagement of cataract and LASIK patients, but that is a small part of total patient volume.

Optometric technicians perform all screening and special testing, including Auto Refraction/Keratometry/Topography, Visual Fields, OCT, Optomap photos, corneal pachymetry, screening tonometry with Icare tonometer, etc. Several of the technicians are also trained as scribes to help the doctors enter information into the Eyefinity EHR system when possible.

Currently, we are seeking an optometrist who is licensed in New York State to work as a full time or part time employee, as desired by the employee. There is a possibility for an employee to buy into the practice in the future, but the desire to purchase the practice is not a requirement for employment.

The practice offers benefits to full time staff, such as paid vacation, health insurance, health savings account contributions, eyewear benefits, quarterly bonuses, and a retirement savings plan. Malpractice insurance and AOA membership dues are included. Paid continuing education credits are available. Assistance in applying for participation in local insurance plans and Medicare is also provided.

New graduates or seasoned professionals are encouraged to apply!
